​I am an IACC-certified Career Coach and Senior Professional Resume Writer, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and a PMP-certified Project Manager with real-world project management experience. As someone who made the jump from an unrelated field into project management, I have first-hand experience with identifying the specific skills that are desirable in and transferable to a project management role.

In 2020, like so many others, I found myself smack in the middle of the COVID pandemic, jobless, and reaching the end of my savings account. Sick of the limited earning potential that my two fine arts degrees and my pastry chef certification brought, I decided to make a shift into a career that was virtually guaranteed to bring me more job stability, higher income, and a clear upward trajectory. After earning my PMP in December 2020, I landed my first job as a Project Manager at a law firm in Seattle, Washington.

In 2021, I co-founded Puget Sound Project Management Volunteers, a nonprofit organization that provides free project management services to other nonprofit organizations in the Seattle area. In my capacity as Executive Director and Project Manager Coach, I handle the vetting, onboarding, coaching, and career development of the volunteer PMs. It was through my experiences coaching volunteer PMs that I discovered my passion for sharing my personal and professional experience with others to help them reach their full professional potential.

My passion for project management helped me double my salary in under three years. It also helped me gain a level of confidence I never imagined possible. Now, I am a project manager at a top-tier international law firm, acting as a strategic partner and trusted advisor for a team of highly acclaimed lawyers. In my role as a project manager, I get immense satisfaction out of bringing together cross-functional teams, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and generally leaving the world a little better than I found it.
